Introduction

Welcome to Day 7 of our devotional journey, From the Cross to the Commission.

The cross was not the end. Jesus died, was buried, and rose again. Because He lives, we have forgiveness, new life, and living hope.

The Gospel is not a treasure that we are called to hide. It is good news that must be received, lived out, and shared.

Matthew 28:18–20

Then Jesus came to them and said, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.’

Three Biblical Truths

1. Jesus Has All Authority

Si Jesus Adunay Tanang Awtoridad

Jesus begins by saying, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Me.”

Ang misugo kanato dili ordinaryong lider. Siya mao ang gilansang ug nabanhaw na Ginoo, ang Hari sa tanang hari, ug ang adunay tanang awtoridad sa langit ug sa yuta.

Our mission does not depend primarily on our ability, education, position, or confidence. We go because Jesus commands us, and we trust His authority.

Tingali moingon ka, “Dili ko maayo mosulti. Kulang akong kahibalo. Mahadlok ko nga basin dili sila maminaw.”

Remember this: the power of the Gospel does not come from our eloquence. Ang gahum anaa kang Cristo ug sa Iyang Pulong.

2. Jesus Commands Us to Make Disciples

Jesus said, “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

Ang paghimo og tinun-an labaw pa sa pag-share og video, paghatag og Bible verse, o pag-imbitar sa usa ka tawo ngadto sa simbahan. Importante kining tanan, apan dili dinha matapos ang disciple-making.

• Love people sincerely.
• Share the Gospel clearly.
• Invite them to repent and believe in Jesus.
• Walk alongside them.
• Teach them God’s Word.
• Help them obey Christ.
• Connect them to the fellowship and mission of the church.
• Train them to help others follow Jesus.

Dili lamang kita gitawag sa pagkuha og desisyon gikan sa mga tawo. Gitawag kita sa pagtabang kanila nga mahimong matinumanong mga sumusunod ni Cristo.

You do not need to become a pastor before you can participate in disciple-making. You can begin with your family, friends, neighbors, classmates, and coworkers.

3. Jesus Promises His Presence

Gisaad ni Jesus ang Iyang Presensya

Jesus ends His commission with this promise: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Wala kita ipadala ni Jesus nga nag-inusara. He is with us through every conversation, every act of service, every Bible study, and every step of obedience.

We may experience fear, rejection, weakness, or uncertainty, but Christ’s presence gives us courage to continue.

The Great Commission is not merely our project. It is Christ’s mission, and we participate through the power and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

4. Who has God placed in your life whom you can begin to disciple?
5. What fear or obstacle prevents you from sharing Christ?

Choose three people who need Christ and pray for them every day.
