From the Pastor’s Desk: A Crucial Saturday for Alicia Alliance Church

Grace and peace to you, AAC family. This is Rev. Ricardo H. Obida, your Lead Pastor at Alicia Alliance Church. I want to personally invite you to set apart Saturday, August 29, 2026 as a day we seek the Lord together for our church and our town. I sense a holy urgency that we come before Christ—our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King—to listen, to align, and to prepare for what He desires to do among us. From the Cross to the Commission, God is writing a new chapter for AAC.

Event 1: Dawn Watch Prayer (5:00 AM – 6:30 AM)

We will begin the day with a Dawn Watch Prayer from 5:00 AM to 6:30 AM, sponsored by our AMP (Alliance Men’s Prayer) of AAC. I want to encourage all church leaders and every member to rise early and join us as we seek God’s face together.

In these quiet early hours, we will call on the Lord for His presence, wisdom, direction, and empowerment over our lives, our families, and every ministry of Alicia Alliance Church. This is a vital moment in our Disciple-Making Journey to pause and remember who we are and whose we are—to Discover Christ afresh, to be renewed as we Mature in Christ, and to be readied to Journey with Christ into our community.

If you are a ministry leader, a volunteer, part of a small group, or simply hungry for more of God, I urge you: begin the day in prayer with us. Our slogan is not just words: Empowered Believers. Transformed Communities. It starts on our knees.

Event 2: 1st AAC Church Leadership Summit (9:00 AM Onwards)

Following our morning prayer, we will gather again at 9:00 AM onwards for our 1st AAC Church Leadership Summit. This summit is an important step in how we live out our calling as a church that makes disciples who make disciples.

During this time, we will:

• Revisit and clarify the vision and mission of Alicia Alliance Church through the lens of our Disciple-Making Journey.
• Pray and listen together for God’s heart for our church and community.
• Engage in strategic planning for the improvement and strengthening of our existing ministries.
• Discern new pathways where faith can become action through our Empowered to Serve discipleship and ministry journey.

This gathering is open to everyone who cares about the future of AAC and the work of God in our community—youth, young professionals, men and women, ministry leaders and members, and anyone interested in our church’s growth and direction. If your heart beats for the church, there is a place for you at this summit.

Think of this as a collaborative family meeting before God: a time to pray, listen, align, collaborate, envision, and prepare together for the direction and ministry framework of Alicia Alliance Church. We want to see every ministry, every team, and every member moving together, from the Cross to the Commission, under the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

My Heart as Your Pastor

As your pastor, my deep desire is to see every person at AAC—from our young people to our seniors—growing as disciples of Jesus and helping others do the same. Whether you are just beginning to Discover Christ, learning to Mature in Christ through community and service, or ready to Journey with Christ into mission and church planting, you have a vital part to play.

Our church identity is not built around a few leaders doing the work. It is built around a family of Empowered Believers who, by the Holy Spirit, are shaping Transformed Communities in Alicia and beyond. That is why this Saturday matters so much. I am asking you not just to attend, but to join your heart, your prayers, and your gifts to what God is doing.

At AAC, we carry this shared heartbeat: “One Church. One Vision. One Mission. One Team.” When we come together in prayer and planning, we are declaring to the Lord and to one another that we are united in Christ our Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King. We are saying, “Lord, here we are. Use us.”

So whether you are a youth discovering your calling, a young professional navigating your work and faith, a parent raising the next generation, or a senior saint who has walked with Jesus for many years—we need you there. Come ready to listen, to share, to learn, and to be part of shaping the future of our Disciple-Making Journey together.

Let this day move you along the journey: Discover more of Christ’s heart, Mature in His Word and ways, and Journey outward as we commit to go where He sends us. From the Cross to the Commission, we walk together.

As you prepare your heart for August 29, I encourage you to pray, “Lord Jesus, show me where You are leading AAC, and show me my part in Your plan.” Then take a step of faith: Grow With Us, Get Involved, and Go With Us into the mission fields around us.
