Disciple-Making Journey · Mature in Christ
Mature in Christ
Rooted in Christ. Growing in Faith. Becoming Like Jesus.
Following Jesus is more than a single decision—it is a lifelong journey of transformation. As we remain in Christ, His Word renews our minds, His Spirit shapes our character, and His Church helps us grow into spiritual maturity.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”
2 Peter 3:18
What Does It Mean to Mature in Christ?
Christian maturity is not merely gaining more biblical information. It is becoming increasingly like Jesus in character, conduct, relationships, service, and obedience. At Alicia Alliance Church (CAMACOP), we grow together as disciples who know Christ as Savior, Sanctifier, Healer, and Coming King—and who follow Him from the Cross to the Commission.
- Rooted in Christ — trusting Jesus as the foundation and center of life.
- Renewed by God's Word — letting Scripture shape beliefs, decisions, and desires.
- Led by the Holy Spirit — depending on His presence, power, and guidance every day.
- Strengthened through prayer — cultivating an honest, ongoing conversation with God.
- Connected to the church family — belonging to a Christ-centered community that loves and disciples one another.
- Growing in love and obedience — responding to God's grace with joyful surrender and action.
- Becoming equipped to serve and disciple others — using God-given gifts so others may discover, mature, and journey with Christ.
“Until Christ is formed in you.”
Galatians 4:19
Foundations for Spiritual Growth
Spiritual maturity does not happen by accident. God invites us into intentional habits and disciplines that keep us close to Jesus and open to the work of the Holy Spirit. These foundations help us grow as Empowered Believers who live out the Gospel in everyday life.
God's Word
Read, study, meditate on, and obey Scripture so that your beliefs and daily choices are anchored in God's truth.
Scripture: 2 Timothy 3:16–17

Scripture: Matthew 6:6, 16–18
Worship
Honor Christ through gathered worship and everyday surrender, offering your whole life in response to His mercy and grace.
Scripture: Romans 12:1–2
Christian Fellowship
Grow through encouragement, accountability, and life with other believers as you share stories, burdens, and joys together.
Scripture: Hebrews 10:24–25

Scripture: Galatians 5:16, 22–23
Obedience and Service

Scripture: James 1:22; Ephesians 2:10
Becoming More Like Jesus
The goal of spiritual maturity is Christlikeness—not spiritual pride or outward religious performance. In every season, God is forming us into the image of His Son so that our lives reflect His love, holiness, and mission. As we mature in Christ, we carry His heart for people and participate in His work of renewal in our homes, workplaces, and communities.
